The Romeoville High School Baseball Staff, under the leadership of Head Coach Mike Skroch, will host a two-session Winter Skills Camp for young players in grades 4 through 8. The camp, designed to improve skills in fielding, hitting, and base running, will be held at the Romeoville High School Field House.

The first session, focused on fielding, is scheduled for January 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second session, dedicated to hitting, will take place on February 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. During each session, participants will receive instruction from the Romeoville High School coaching staff and players, who will lead drills and small games that aim to develop specific aspects of the game.

The cost to attend the camp is $50, and pre-registration is encouraged to secure a camp T-shirt. The deadline for pre-registration is January 10, 2025. In addition to the skills-focused instruction, parents and youth coaches are welcome to attend and observe the drills to gain insight into the techniques being taught.

Camp highlights include:

  • Instruction and drills for outfield, infield, and catching positions
  • Pitching drills for aspiring pitchers
  • Hitting drills, including tee work, soft toss, and the Hack Attack machine
  • Base running instruction
  • Competitive small games
To register for the camp, interested participants can complete the pre-registration form.
