Romeoville hosts Holiday Lights Parade on Dec. 7

Mayor John Noak | Village of Romeoville

The Village of Romeoville has announced that the parade will commence at 4 p.m. from Fire Station #3.

According to Romeoville Public Works, children aged 2-12 are invited to participate in the Guess the Glow Contest for a chance to win one of six bicycles. Participants can enter by guessing the total number of lights on all parade vehicles and floats after watching the parade or viewing them at the Holiday Lights Festival afterward.

There will be links and QR codes available, allowing children to access the online entry form on the day of the parade. Winners will be announced next week.

Saturday's parade is part of the Holiday Lights Festival, scheduled for December 6 and 7 from 5-8 p.m. at 550 W. Romeo Rd. The festival features activities such as photos with Santa, live reindeer, character encounters, ice carvings, live music, a holiday train, food trucks, and a holiday market. The Tree Lighting ceremony is set for 5 p.m. on December 6.
