Joliet Catholic Academy (JCA) has announced that it will offer the ACT as an official testing option for its junior students. On Wednesday, March 19th, 11th-grade students will have the opportunity to take the digital version of the ACT without a writing component at the school. The ACT is recognized as an official test and can be used for college applications and scholarship purposes. During this time, only juniors will be present in the building while other students follow a live remote schedule. Juniors are expected to complete their tests by approximately 11:30 am.
The academy recommends that all juniors participate in taking the ACT this spring at JCA, emphasizing its importance for college applications and scholarships. "We feel it is important for them to have a test score as they begin their college application process and for scholarship purposes," stated JCA Counseling.
The registration process will be managed by JCA Counseling, which will upload the testing roster to ACT. However, students must use a provided link to pay for the test through JCA. Detailed payment instructions are available via this link.
Recently, juniors received an email from Mrs. Voltz or Mrs. Pullara regarding their Junior Planning Meeting. The counseling department encourages students to take advantage of these meetings to discuss and plan their future steps in college or career pursuits. "We hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity to discuss and plan the next steps in the exciting journey of college/career search, application, and acceptance," noted JCA Counseling.
For any questions related to this process or payment issues, students are advised to contact the Counseling Department directly.
Registration for taking the ACT at Joliet Catholic Academy is due on or before March 3rd, 2025.
