Joliet Catholic Academy joins National Catholic Schools Week celebrations
Dr. Jeffrey Budz, President/Principal | Joliet Catholic Academy

Joliet Catholic Academy (JCA) is set to join the annual National Catholic Schools Week celebration from January 26 to February 1, 2025. This event highlights the value of Catholic education in the United States and its impact on churches, communities, and the nation.

The theme for this year's celebration is "Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community." JCA collaborates with local Catholic grade schools and the Diocese of Joliet Catholic Schools Office to maintain a tradition of producing leaders who follow Christ's path.

"Our number one goal as a Catholic college preparatory high school is to 'Inspire Growth in Knowledge and Faith,'" states JCA. This mission has been central to their community for over 155 years, focusing on excellence in academics, service, and extracurricular activities.

Each day of the week-long event will feature different themes:

- **Sunday**: Celebrating Your Parish - Parishes contribute through religious guidance and support.

- **Monday**: Celebrating Your Community - Students learn about service through activities that demonstrate their values.

- **Tuesday**: Celebrating Your Students - Activities are planned to recognize student accomplishments.

- **Wednesday**: Celebrating the Nation - Participants communicate the value of Catholic education to government leaders.

- **Thursday**: Celebrating Vocations - Students explore life paths using their talents in service.

- **Friday**: Celebrating Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers - Acknowledgment of educators and supporters' contributions.

- **Saturday**: Celebrating Families - Recognition of families' roles in supporting academic excellence.
