The Village of Romeoville has scheduled a contractor to re-stripe the roadway on Veteran’s Parkway starting on April 15, 2025. The re-striping will begin approximately 800 feet west of Hudson Avenue. According to the plan, westbound thru traffic will merge into the left lane near Hudson Avenue, while the right lane will be converted into a turn-only lane for Hudson Avenue. Additionally, the right lane east of Hudson will be marked as a merged lane until it becomes a turn-only lane for Dalhart Avenue.
A spokesperson from the Village of Romeoville noted that, "The new lane striping configuration will address the traffic concerns and improve traffic flow on Veteran’s Parkway."
The reconfiguration aims to improve the overall traffic flow and address existing traffic concerns in the area.
