RomeoFest, a significant event in Romeoville, will take place from August 7 to 10. The festival features four days of live music, carnival rides, various food options, activities, fireworks, and a laser show. This year, the festival will be headlined by multi-platinum artist Uncle Kracker.
Uncle Kracker has been part of the music scene for over two decades with his blend of country, pop, rock, and hip-hop. He has achieved #1 hits across Pop, Adult Contemporary, and Country charts. His song "Follow Me" reached #1 in four countries while "When The Sun Goes Down," a collaboration with Kenny Chesney, topped the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks Chart. His cover of Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away” set a record by staying at #1 on Adult Contemporary Radio for 28 consecutive weeks. Another hit "Smile" achieved triple-platinum status and was featured in multiple syncs including an episode of The Office.
Uncle Kracker is set to perform on Thursday night (August 7) at 8:30 p.m., following Melissa Ann's opening act at the Romeoville Toyota Pavilion.
“We're always looking for ways to enhance Romeofest," stated Mayor Noak. "We felt that a major headlining band would really elevate the experience, and we're thrilled to welcome Uncle Kracker to Romeoville.”
