The Providence Catholic community is mourning the sudden loss of Rev. Richard Young, O.S.A., who passed away due to a heart attack despite medical efforts to save him. Father Rich was a beloved figure within the community, known for his wit and dedication to his faith.

Father Merk shared a poignant memory from a recent school Mass where Father Rich presented each senior with a pin symbolizing "faith, hope and charity" or "truth, unity, and love," reflecting both personal and communal values. This gesture serves as a reminder of Father Rich's belief in maintaining faith and hope within the community.
