Two new businesses are preparing to open locations in Romeoville. Scooter’s Coffee has signed a lease for the last available space in a recently built shopping center south of the Route 53 and Greenwood Avenue intersection. The 1,641 square foot site, which includes a drive-thru window, will join existing tenants Happy Bites and Romeoville Urgent Care. Scooter’s Coffee plans to open in early 2026 and will serve hot and iced drinks, teas, sparkling floats and sodas, smoothies, muffins, sandwiches, and desserts.
Wetzel’s Pretzels is set to begin operations inside the Romeoville Walmart by the end of October. The business will occupy a 940 square foot area offering hot pretzels, flavored pretzel bitz, pretzel wrapped hot dogs, and several lemonade options.
“As more businesses come in, it continues to show that Romeoville is a good investment and a desirable place for companies to open a location,” said Mayor Noak.
