Rack Room Shoes will open a new store in Romeoville, occupying a 10,000 square foot space between Sally Beauty and Petco at the northeast corner of Weber Road and Airport Road. The store is expected to open in January 2026 and will be the chain’s fourth location in Illinois. Rack Room Shoes offers various brands for men, women, and children, including casual, athletic, dress, and comfort shoes.
Mayor Noak commented on the development: “We are very excited to be able to offer a dedicated shoe store to our residents and visitors. We look forward to Rack Room being a valuable member of our business community.”
The announcement comes as several other businesses have also revealed plans to open in Romeoville. These include Scooter’s Coffee with an opening planned for early 2026, Wetzel’s Pretzels by the end of October, Wing Snob this fall, and Hatch Chicken in September. Village officials indicated that more business announcements may follow soon.
