Enrollment Analysis: Black students comprised 16.2% of Romeoville High School’s student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 302 Black students enrolled in Romeoville High School in the 2022-23 school year, 2.4% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 1,866 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 16.2% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

The school is located in Valley View Community Unit School District 365U with a central office in Romeoville.

Among the 19 schools in Valley View Community Unit School District 365U, Bolingbrook High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 3,363 students.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
