Joliet Catholic Academy has announced its March Students of the Month, recognizing three students for their achievements in academics and community involvement. The honorees are Matthew Perez, Zachary Beitler, and Ellie Blotnik.

Matthew Perez, from Plainfield, is involved in multiple honor societies and extracurricular activities. He plans to attend Marquette University to study communications with a focus on sports. "Matthew is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta," said Dr. Jeffrey Budz, President/Principal of JCA.

Zachary Beitler hails from Shorewood and has been recognized as an Illinois State Scholar. He will attend Butler University to play football and study construction management and finance. "He is a varsity football and baseball player and was named Academic All American for both football and baseball in 2024," Dr. Budz noted.

Ellie Blotnik, also from Shorewood, serves as President of the National Honor Society at JCA. She plans to major in marketing and journalism at the University of Arkansas. "Ellie is active in Key Club where she serves as Vice President," said Dr. Budz.

The school takes pride in these students' accomplishments both academically and within their communities.
